A quick read, Killing Jesus, the objective study of the period in history surrounding the birth, life and death of Jesus Christ, encompasses more than just facts about the Messiah. This book includes interesting history of the Caesar’s, King Herod and others involved in “The Greatest Story Ever Told”.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
An objective, historical study of an extremely volatile subject, I enjoyed the unbiased, “just the facts” style in which it was written. That this work consists of less than 300 pages, about 40 of which are notes, sources and such, indicates how little is really known about Yeshua, the man – arguably the greatest human being that ever lived.
O’Reilly shows a great deal of “hutzpah” in tackling such an emotional topic, yet he knows how to pick sensational topics that will sell.
