Last year, I read Walter Isaacson’s “Benjamin Franklin: An American Life” which describes the importance of Thomas Paine’s original “Common Sense” published in 1776, a catalyst of the war for independence of our 13 colonies from the control of Great Britain. When I came upon a copy of Beck’s “Common Sense”, I felt that I should give it a quick read since it is such a short book. I’m glad I did!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don’t care for FOX News, but I do like what Beck has to say. It seems like he has captured in print what has crossed my mind a great deal over the last couple of decades.
